Action of vitamin K

• Helps maintain healthy bones: plays an important role in processes related to bone mineralisation and health. It influences the action of osteocalcin, the protein responsible for bone formation. Active osteocalcin binds calcium and facilitates its deposition in the bone matrix, which increases bone density and strength [1, 2].
